Sex offender saves childs life!?
A locally registered sex offender in our hometown ran into a burning house to save a child's life. The man has 3rd degree burns over 80% of his body now and is in critical condition. The child is expected to make a full recovery. The child would NOT have survived if not for this man!
Do you conisder this guy a hero?
Do you forgive this guy?
Should there be reprieve for this guy?

Its sad that so many spoke bad about this person without reading, i can tell they typed and posted before they saw the fact that he did not molest anyone. Pissed off mothers use this all the time, especially in divorce cases. The guy is a hero, even if he did more than you stated, I think he's done well in trying to make up for it...if thats the case, at least he's trying. Yes there is good in everyone, and there are more to these guys than the 'label' our corrupt government throws upon them. Those of you who dont feel this guy is a hero for saving a LIFE, or something else negative...has the real issues.

I'm sorry, but someone who likes to "love" little kids is a barbaric piece of garbage. You don't get off on punishment just because you did the right thing in another instance. Sorry, no sympathy here.
EDIT: The term "SEX OFFENDER" implies he likes to boff unwilling partners. If he only kidnapped a child (regardess that it was his own ... he was convicted), then why did you say sex offender? That implies he's a rapist. If he wasn't convicted of sex-related crimes, then you should have chosen your wording better.
Assuming he didn't save the child so that he could boink it later...
There are different kinds of sex offenders, but they all get the same label. There are guys that get caught screwing really hot, really mature fourteen year old girls. These guys are not really sex offenders. Then there are the guys that get caught screwing five year old boys. These are the real sex offenders.
i hope he didn't touch the child in any wrong way in the rescue effort. But other than that...fudge yeah he's a hero...talk about making up for your past.

These are my first thoughts when it comes to sex offenders, I would have to withhold any judgment till I knew the true history of the offender.

No I have no remorse for him. Like the other guy said he only saved the little kid so he could offend again!! I hope he dies in the hospital.
He is definitely a hero. That doesn't mitigate what he's done in the past, but neither should his past diminish what he did by pulling that child out of the fire. If his injuries are as severe as you say, I can't imagine that his prognosis is very good.
BTW, it's not up to me to forgive him. That's up to his victims, he hasn't done anything to me or mine.
Why does everyone assume that a sex offender is always a child molester? A sex offender commits some type of sex crime, but is not always a pedophile.
I think it is heroic what the guy did, but it doesn't erase his past.

Wow, the guy is a hero. The degree of his injuries is dire and he may not live. If he does, he will bear the scars for the rest of his life. But, obviously, they will be scars to be proud of. Maybe this was his way of "giving back". Maybe he knew that saving this child was the right thing to do even if it meant he would die. He can't undo his past, but maybe giving up his life for a child is the only way for him to be forgiven.
I don't know. I think he's a hero. I think that what he did deserves credit. A child is alive because of him, regardless of what his past holds.

this sex offender B,S, has gone to far and to long, hell a 17 y,o, boy who screws a 16 y,o. girl is considered a sex offender,when will America wake up the legal age for women to screw was 14 and could be married at this age, but, now that we have so much information on sex and the birds and bee's they have raised the age to 18 so women must be a lot dumber today than in until the 70's how long will it be before the legal age is 80 then you can be assured there will not be any sex period, this law has got to be one that the homo's wanted as it will give them more access to young men,

There should be no reprieve for what he did in his past, it's something he'll have to live with for the rest of his life, just like the person he molested will have to live with it for the rest of their life. I do think the town should do something to honor his brave act, truly heroic, not many people would do what he did.
WTF how does a nonsexual relationship with your own child on a day you are not suppose to visit quailfy as a sex offender?
