Can a company take you to court for a bill they already sent to a collection agency?
Or can the collection company take you to court?
(If the bill has been disputed)
Answers:
I think both can take you to court once the dispute has been resolved.
Just because you dispute it doesn't mean that the dispute has validity -- they have to research it and then it is still a legal bill.
no they have to take you to court before it enters in collection.
Yes
the collection agency takes you to court.
this happened to me, with a bill i disputed. one day alot of money was missing from my account. they got a court order & took it out, with out me knowing about it.
