Fecking ridiculous.
Although it still makes more sense then a guy not too long ago that is having CSA payments taken out of his wages because the woman says its his child.
He has proved with a court approved dna test that he is not the father (its 100% certain he is not the father) but the CSA told him that he has too keep paying because the woman says so. He has never met the woman, ever!
Too make it worse his real child is suffering because his wages arent enough too support two kids at the rate at which the money is being taken off him.
Or even a guy who was locked up for rape, he was released when new evidence proved he couldnt possibly have done it and the supposed victim confessed she had lied. He is having BOARD AND LODGINGS taken from his compensation. He is paying for his freedom too be taken away! is that wrong or is it wrong?
Oh and the woman who caused this guy to be locked up for 3 years is still protected legally with anonymity in the press and media and she got nothing for lying! How can that be fair? It should at least be perjury shouldnt it?
The lawbook in this country needs to be torn up and completely rewritten, its time to protect the victims rather then criminals.
And judges that hand down paltry sentences should be locked up themselves! SICK OF IT!
There would have been non of this nonsense if Hitler had won the second world war.
That's the ACLU, far left socialist liberals that are slowly chipping away at our freedom.
we're getting those kinds of cases here in our courts too in the US. How about the case here about two guys from our boarder patrol...the druggie sued and won, the boarder patrol went to jail.
I wonder if DeeJay knows that the ACLU is a hired organization (like attorneys being hired) and not a party organization.
couple years back a buglar fell from the roof of a house he was robbing he sued the homeowners insurance and won a huge settlement
my view is that the law sucks, and if any-one broke into my home i'm afraid i would take the law into my own hands, one way or another
why shouldn't we be allowed to protect ourselves and our belongings
what makes these people think they are entitled to destroy some-ones life, well they definitely wouldn't get away with it if it happened to me!!!
Yeah you limeys are pretty light in the loafers when it comes to self defense. Especially with your gun laws. The homeowner probably would have been better off to drag him back into the front door then whopped him a couple of times to get some blood on his baseball bat oh I'm sorry, on his cricket bat.
See, there you go. A CRICKET bat for god's sake. Why couldn't it be a spider bat or hornet bat..a cricket bat for crimmy's sake.
Shot the SOB with a 357 magnum. It really cuts down on the return burglars.
the cabinet is awash with ex drug users-any wonder why the country has gone to pot?faulty decision making to be expected
I think the thieving b@stards should be killed on sight, by any means possible, I found two "youth's" in my place some years ago, I gave them the beating of their lives, I got done for it, " justice " what the fcuk is that.
RTKBA= Right to Keep & Bear Arms!!
Thank god the liberal pukes over there haven't succeeded (yet) getting crappy laws like that passed over here!!
The last time somebody tried burglarizing our house, my 62yo COPD inflicted mother cut loose with a 20. ga. She missed, but the would be burlgar broke his leg trying to get away ( poetic justice ). Yeah he had the balls to try and sue also. Several of the towns people asked him if his lawsuit was really worth the loss of BOTH legs and he wisely took the hint and dropped it. She wasn't charged with anything and he did time for B&E.
The homeowner should sue the burglar for trespass.
It's ridiculous that a man/woman can't defend their own homes. What does the law expect you to do... say yeah, take what you want? and then the Insurance Company says...hey mate sorry, but you should have protected your property, we're not paying out. Bloody stupid.
I feel sorry for the burglar that tries to steal from me, his family will be collecting him in a box.
The law is all wrong.
That crook got off lightly. If he'd broken into my house, he wouldn't have been in a fit state to make a complaint.
We are going mad - the rights of the criminal are more important as the loony left (that sadly are running this country from their comfy unelected council jobs) ensure that we are told that criminality is caused by deprived upbringing and its not really their fault and go on your honour, let him off, his Mum beat him as a child...
Well, personally I don't care if they stole a loaf of bread - bring back transportation for all criminals. Send them to the South Sandwich Islands and let them rot.
Fortunately law is always evolving there is little doubt that these life life threatening injuries had to be investigated.
As the alleged burglar is unconscious his side has not been put.
It may be that his fall was an attempted murder by a love rival who the homeowner had invited in.
"It will all come out in the wash" and it will If it turns out he is a burglar and was injured during flight then I hope he Dies from his injuries and the home owner is compensated for the stress he undoubtedly suffered.
I have faith a jury will reach the correct decision on both allegations
It seems that in UK only criminals and terrorists have civil rights, the ordinary every-day citizen has no rights what so ever, not even that of self-defence. With the PC mafia in charge, it is like the lunatics running the asylum. I can understand that the police are obliged to investigate the matter, and I hope that if things are as they seem on the surface, the charges will be dropped
That`s the thanks you get for paying taxes to the government.
