China is about teh almighty buck as long as rich guys make more money they don't care who they kill in the process they know better than to use their own deadly poducts and when it comes to caring about their people they don't they have way too many people .. if they lose a few million so what is their attitude..
Walmart has made these rich guys so much richer too selling that china made junk all over the us..
Nah, I don't think they're trying to kill us. But I do think we should stop buying everything from China when we are more than capable of making it ourselves.
American business uses cheap labor in China 25 cents an hour to make and ship a Barbie doll that sells in the US for 9 dollars. No regulation because that would cost money and eat into profit. The Chinese use what they have. I doubt they know or care about the lead based paint. All they want is Yankee dollars to make stuff so we can buy cheap from WallyWorld. Those same dolls over here would have to meet strict standards and the people making them would make almost as much as the doll sells for. So instead of an $8.75 profit they would maybe make only a 50 cent profit on each doll. That is how big business works. Nothing and no one is as important as that bottom line.
China actually could if it wanted too, but I think its that they don't have good safety regulations.
Also, did you know that in the U.S. that only about 1% of the cattle are tested for madcow disease? Is the cattle industry and medical industry plotting together to make money off us? Supposedly we have the highest safety regulations in the world, but it doesn't really seem that way when you start looking at the data. Dare I even mention the hormone saturated meat we digest from hormone pumped cattle.
Anyways, it isn't like we can stop buying from China all of a sudden. If we did, our economy would collapse. You can thank corporations' greed for making us so vulnerable. There is a way to become self-sufficient again but it would take about 30+ years to work. Bringing back small buisnesses will fix the U.S..
China and/or any other nation in the world is not trying to kill any Americans. On the contrary US was killing, keep killing and if no other superpower will stop them will continue to kill innocent man, women and children all over the world. Iraq is life example of US global and state sponsored terrorism.
LOL!! We imported everything they sent us. They did'nt send it to us for free ! Terrorism it's NOT. Bush has borrowed millions of dollars from China. How can we pay it back if we're dead ? BTW, China has a far BIGGER army than we do. If they want, we're toast...
No I just think it's blind overwhelming greed. The reason I don't think it is is because at some point ( and hopefully we've reached that point ) we can just chose to not buy products from China. American business has decided they don't want us to know about poisoned products because they have been fighting tooth and nail measures to institute inspections and country of origin labeling regulations, we need to be our own consumer protection agency, which means, if it says "Made in China" on the label just put it back on the shelf, that's a 100% sure fire way of not being exposed to this stuff, and if it's done enough it just might start getting jobs back here. Because when it comes down to it American businesses have no intention of doing anything about this as long as it's putting billions of dollars in their pockets, ( and not in the pockets of
workers by the way, which is part of what we're seeing now in the housing market ) and people keep blindly and without thought buying the crap they're selling.
