Who owns it?

I read today that Canada claims that the Artic belongs to them. Of course so does the USA and Russia. Lets for a sec just forget Russia. They claim to own everything north of the great lakes and even claim they own Japan. I have a money saving way of deciding just who owns the Artic. We send a platoon of US Marines to the Artic and Canada can send in thier whole armed forces. We claim the Artic and dare the Canadian Army to try and take it. We win hands down in about 15 min. Case settled and we saving billions of tax payer money. Anyone have a better idea ?

Yes, let the politicans play their little games and just ignore them. As long as they are arguing over the North Pole, they are not doing real damage somewhere else.
