My supervisor discuss me with another co-worker , she told her I was going to written up , before I knew it.
Is this allowed to discuss another co-worker with a co-worker?
Answers:
allowed by who?
there's no law prohibiting it, if that's what you mean.
Depends on what the policies and procedures for that company state. If it is a private entity, they write their own policies and procedures, therefore this really isn't a legal issue.
That's a company policy issue.
depends on what position the "co-worker" holds within the company.
If the co-worker is your peer, then the Supervisor's discussion with him/her was unethical, not illegal. You may file a complaint with HR regarding this, and typically, the Supv. will be given a disciplinary action. Quite a bonehead manuever I'd say.
In addition to what Polecat said, I would even go so far as to pose this very question to the offending supervisor. Just to see the look on their face.
probably not, but even if you tell someone about it there is a chance that nothing will happen
