In child custody cases do you think people should be able to make unsubstantiated claims which they know?

are completely false and have no basis .I know someone who has made many false allegation solely to be malicious and vindictive.Since these claims were made in sworn affidavits is there a lgal penalty for lying intentionally under oath ?

Answers:
If the claims are known false, the person making them can be sued for making such "bad faith" claims.

And yes, perjury applies to sworn affidavits.
You got it right perjury!
yes, they should be held for pergury and contempt of court, and all claims should be backed up with proof.
I believe you would have a winning case in a court of law. The person can also be charged with causing emotional stress for the other person too. I believe once a liar always a liar too. Hope you give this person what they deserve and justice is met out promptly and with the severity it merits.
